Aja Zupanec: GAEA
experimental film
The movement-experimental video GAEA was created as part of the Master's degree in the Art of Movement at AGRFT. The master thesis was created in the form of an experimental movement video as a result of the current social situation. The limited possibilities of performing due to the coronavirus led to the decision to create an experimental dance video instead of the planned dance performance.
Gaea, the personification of the Earth, the mother of all that is beautiful in this world. A journey into the human body. Deconstruction and construction, as the foundation of a recurring cyclicity, where each end represents a new beginning. Air, earth, fire and water as the basic building blocks of all that exists, both in the micro and macro worlds. The unity we forget and have lost touch with.
Conceptual design and movement by Aja Zupanec

Urša Sekirnik: Archive of dances to personal hits
installation

Archive of dances to personal hits and the associated installation Personal Hit Dances Archive were created as part of the creative process for the Radio Hit performance. The artist was interested in a specific aspect of hits: how do people dance to them in everyday life? In the archive, the artist therefore tries to collect and present dances to different people's favourite hits. In doing so, she wants to find out how we dance to our favourite songs, to peek into our private dance lives and to present the personal stories behind these dances and songs.

Nina Jan and Urša Sekirnik: Archive of non-financial donations
participatory installation

Project Archive of non-financial donations is an extension of A Chapter in Which We Receive a Donation, part of the À la Cart Performance Webshop project, in which the authors explore the concept of government support for art and artists. Since the understanding of this support by both artists and government institutions is often linked to monetary support (i.e. if there is money, the state supports culture, if there is no money, there is no support), they ask how the notion of support could be expanded.
They are therefore asking the public and visitors to the exhibition to help them broaden their understanding of the concept of donation by making concrete suggestions (e.g. personal objects, contacts, gestures, expressions of support, etc.) to help them identify ways in which they can support the artist and his/her current work in a non-financial way, or to inspire future projects.
As part of the installation Archive of non-financial donations, you can see some of the donations the artists have received in recent years.
At Non-financial donations station you can also contribute suggestions on how to help artists in their work with non-financial donations. Your contributions will then be archived and become part of the Donations Archive and future installations of the project.
